Barefoot Shoes – Vibram Fivefingers and Vivo Barefoot Shoes

June 12, 2009

vibram-fivefingers-classic-shoeFor shoe lovers who crave the sensation of walking barefoot, but don’t want gravel, glass and various other nasties cutting into the soles of their feet, we have just added a couple of new sections offering deals on Vivo Barefoot shoes and Vibram Fivefinger shoes.

Ultimately, what both these brands attempt to do, in their own way, is create for the wearer the feeling that they are walking barefoot while providing  confort and protection too.

This week we have tried both brands out here at Sandals & Shoes Towers and we have pounded the streets of Berkhamstead ‘barefoot’ but without our tootsies showing.

The result? Well, we enjoyed the feel of both but found that the Vibram shoe got a lot of perplexed looks from passers by.  The Vibram shoes will be fine on beaches, at festivals, climbing and when indulging in various sport and recreational activities.  On the high street they do (at the moment) look a little odd.  The Vivo Barefoot (Aqua model in our case) ticked all the boxes.  Looks good with a pair of jeans or shorts, were very comfy and on what was a rare hot and sunny day they did not cause feet to become very sweaty.
